In short, I love helping and working with people! My first job out of school was as a Youth Worker in residential and rehabilitaion settings and I knew from there that that was my calling.
Move on a few years, and I have found myself passionate about employment, human resources and learning and development and have since made that the focus of my career. In turn, I have been blessed with some awesome experiences in these areas and hope to use these to help other Career Crusaders get the most out of their time at work.
I have facilitated, coordinated, managed and created various forms of training in different contexts. I have worked with young people looking to get into work, professionals looking for that next promotion, and CEOs looking to develop their teams.
I have played the recruitment game from all angles and I have performance managed my fair share of employees and supported others doing the same. I have worked in community services and volunteered for a decade as a counsellor for a major crisis support brand. I have owned my own training company, been a high school teacher, worked for companies that advocate for learning and development, and I have been a student on many occasions – as you can see below.
I guess you can say I keep myself busy – and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In all my endeavours I have found myself drawn to working with others to reach their goals. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing that ah-ha moment when someone finds the answers they have been looking for.
I love working with people and I love learning. Somehow I have been lucky enough to make a career out of doing what I love!
